  1. I just finished reading your blog thus far, and, I have to say, I'm amazed. I have been planning on making femshep armour out of EVA foam, and this is truly inspiring. I wish I had the resources and patience to do this. You guys are awesome, and you're pretty much a shoo-in for that contest. Good luck, and keep up the amazing work! :)

  2. Thank you so much Ashley! We really appreciate the feedback and compliments. We have been working very hard on the costume and have high hopes for it. -Getting into crunch time now.
-I was excited to read that you are planning a costume as well. There are a LOT of people who have done fantastic work with EVA who we took inspiration from. We can refer you to some good people if you like. Good luck!

  3. That would be awesome! :) I've been looking at Evil FX's blog for inspiration, do you know of any others? Also, I could use some help choosing materials... I'm kind of new to this whole thing. ;P I think the most daunting part of it all is the space boobs. I just don't know how to go about it. I like your idea of the chest protector, but I don't know where to find one of those... Any tips?

  4. We also gained inspiration from Evil FX blog, he does incredible work. I would also recommend checking out "Voplin Props" http://volpinprops.blogspot.com/2010/09/n7-armor-dragoncon-2010-recap.html
The chest plate is definitely a difficult one for the ladies. Evil FX has a good method to build it yourself. If you would rather buy a base-layer you can Google "Fencing Chest protector", you should get a lot of results. As far as materials, most armor builds we have seen start with EVA foam (floor mats). Its a good material to carve, sculpt and sand and it can look very realistic.

Best of luck and keep us up to date!
